I am dehydrated today. How can I tell? The skin of my hands feel paper like, my muscles feel odd and my tongue feels like it is a big fat thick rug.

I ran my first half marathon day before yesterday. I did hydrate during the run but I am thinking that maybe I should have taken in a little more liquid during the run and I am thinking that my post-race fluid intake was not quite good enough.

Hydration is not just for runners and cyclists though! I know so many women who just don’t like the taste of water and so they drink a glass or two a day. You are dehydrated.

When you are dehydrated you feel tired, drained, you can can even feel depressed. Your ability to perform drops dramatically.

There are plenty of ways to get hydrated. Try some herbal infusions.  Add some lemon or a squirt of orange to your water. Add some crushed mint. Drink herbal teas.

Drink. I don’t care if you want to or not.

Now where did I put my water?
